Changing normal template in Word

Go to File - Open

In the left panel on top you see 'Microsoft Word', click to the left of it and it expands to show 'templates', select this and open normal.dotm

Make the edits you want (eg to font size, paragraph spacing, etc) and save.

This will get rid of that really annoying double line spacing crap.
