Under Debugging set Android debugging / ADB debugging to ON.

Use the AP button in ODIN to flash TWRP

Reboot the device into Recovery mode - you should see TWRP.

Copy ROM + Gapps to device

Install ROM (still in TWRP)

Install GApps (still in TWRP)

Reboot

First boot will take a LONG time! And during setup it rebooted twice for me.

Optional: Root it

Download magisk.apk, rename to zip, copy to device, reboot into recovery / TWRP mode and install the file

I know it's not the recommended way but the "proper" way doesn't generate a tar file, so ODIN can't use it.

Note on LineageOS:

settings -> system -> Status bar -> quick pulldown allows you to get a shortcut to the settings quickly

ROMS

[1] Lineage OS 17.1

Old information

LineageOS 14.1 Klimtwifi Android 7.1.2 build 9/12/18

[ROM[UNOFFICIAL][7.1.2] LineageOS 14.1 SM-T700] Thread

Last update Deathly version or Vanilla version

difference deathly and vanilla

1. Exynos5420 builds feature Deathly kernel by @deadman96385 It is a feature-rich kernel with patches like UKMS, GPU volt control, CPU overclock etc. However it is not very stable compared to the LineageOS kernel used in official builds and my builds linked.

2. Exynos5420 builds add Deathly Adiutor and LineageOMS to the source tree. This allows theming support with Substratum. LineageOS builds lack this functionality, per LineageOS charter.

[ROM[7.1.2][OFFICIAL] LineageOS 14.1 - SM-T700] Older than Unofficial

Apps

  • Battery charge limit

This app by SL/\SH requires root, but because I usually have this tablet on a charger I like setting it to discharge until 60% and then stop charging at 80%.

  • Matric

Shows a control panel for PC games

  • SpaceDesk

Allows you to add the device as a wireless extra monitor for your PC
